Game 9 (7th place game): Fort Myers over JJ Pearce 15-0
Fort Myers scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take immediate control, and the Green Wave defeated JJ Pearce 15-0 in four innings in the seventh place game.
After not scoring in the second inning, Fort Myers scored twice in the bottom of the third and three more in the bottom of the fourth to stop the game.
The Green Wave got two hits each from Faith Fazzone and Leighton Davey. Fazzone was 2-for-2 with three runs and two runs batted in, while Davey was 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in a run.
JJ Pearce had one hit and it came off the bat of Ashlyn Yarborough, which was a double.
Afton Jessogne earned the win in the circle for Fort Myers, after going 4.0 innings and allowing no runs on one hit with three strikeouts. Molly Simmons suffered the lost for JJ Pearce after allowing 10 runs on five hits in 0.2 innings.

Game 10 (5th place game): Middleburg over Foundation Academy 2-1
Middleburg walks it off!
Down 1-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Middleburg took the lead and ended the game with one swing of the bat! The Broncos' Madisyn Strickland delivered a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 2-1 walk-off win over Foundation Academy in the fifth place game.
The game remained scoreless heading into the seventh inning. Foundation Academy, who did not have a hit in the contest, took a 1-0 lead in the top half when Norah Ranaudo scored from third on a groundout to third.Â
In what was an absolute pitchers duel, Middleburg's Kendal Way was the lone player to have a multiple hit game, going 2-for-2. The Broncos salvaged four hits, including the two from Way, the home run by Strickland and the other a double by Izzy Pifer.
Karleigh Sanford earned the win in relief, going 1.0 innings and striking out two. Way started the game and pitched 6.0 innings of no-hit softball and struck out two. Pressley Boeni suffered the loss going 6.1 innings and allowing two runs on four hits and struck out three.
Game 11 (3rd place game): Winter Springs over The Episcopal School 9-5
Winter Springs beat the Episcopal School 9-5 in the third place game of the 2026 MAIST tournament.
Trailing 5-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth, the Bears scored a combined seven runs between the fifth and sixth innings to take the lead and win. Winter Springs tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, before adding four runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull away.
Katelyn Wassey, Abigail Hooper and L Daugerty each had two hits and two runs. Wassey had a double and a triple, while Daughtry had a double and a home run in the win.
Emily Davidson, Amelia Oreair and Chelsea Dever had two hits each for The Episcopal School.
Tiffany Seeman earned the win for Winter Springs, going 4.0 innings and allowed one unearned run on two hits. Riley Valent suffered the loss after going 5.1 innings and allowing nine runs on nine hits.

Game 12 (championship game): Montverde Academy over IMG Academy 3-1
In the championship game, Montverde Academy defeated IMG Academy 3-1 for the Eagles fourth straight MAIST championship.
Montverde Academy broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third when Addie Poe hit her third home run of the tournament, a two-run shot to put the Eagles ahead 2-0.
IMG Academy cut the lead in half in the top of the fifth on a solo home run by Bree McHughes.Â
The Eagles added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth when Carly Howard scored on an IMG Academy error.
For the game, Poe was 1-for-2 with a home run and two runs batted in. Andrea Gomez and Cali Flowers added one hit each.
IMG Academy was led by McHughes who was 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Dawson Blue added a hit for the Ascenders.
Nevaeh Williams earned the win in the circle, going 7.0 innings and allowing one run on two hits with eight strikeouts. Bobbie Strus suffered the loss, going 3.0 innings and allowing two runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
