Montverde, Fla. (March 18, 2026) – Montverde Academy boys basketball is heading back to the biggest stage in high school basketball!
The Eagles have officially received a bid to the 2026 Chipotle High School Nationals, the premier national championship event in the country. As one of the most successful programs in the event's history, MVA will be chasing an unprecedented ninth national title.
MVA enters the tournament with a 21-6 overall record and winners of the Nike EYBL Scholastic Regular Season Eastern Division championship. The Eagles' postseason conference run in the Nike EYBL Scholastic Tournament ended in the quarterfinals against CIA Bella Vista, who went on to win the conference post season title.
Now, the focus shifts to nationals.
MVA earned the No. 5 seed and will open play on Thursday, April 2 against No. 4 seed Prolific Prep. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Montverde Academy's dominance on this stage is unmatched. The Eagles have won the national championship eight times, claiming titles in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2024. The 2020 tournament was canceled due to COVID-19, though Montverde was declared the national champion due to its No. 1 national ranking at the time.
