The Journey of Albert Dikwa

For Albert Dikwa, the lessons learned at SIMA have stayed with him long after his time at Montverde.

Today, Albert continues his professional career with Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Championship, but the values that guide him every day were built much earlier.

"SIMA taught me discipline, responsibility, and time management," Albert shared.

Built on Discipline

At SIMA, every day came with expectations. Training, school, recovery, and daily responsibilities all required focus and accountability. For Albert, that environment helped build the habits that would later become essential in his career.

Learning how to manage time, stay disciplined, and take responsibility for his own development gave him a foundation that continues to shape how he approaches the game and life.

More Than Soccer

While SIMA helped Albert grow as a player, one of the biggest lessons he took away had nothing to do with soccer.

"SIMA also taught me one of the most important life values that I carry with me wherever I go," he said. "Be a good person first before being a good athlete."

That mindset has become central to how Albert approaches every opportunity. In a profession that demands consistency, sacrifice, and resilience, staying grounded has been just as important as anything he learned on the field.

Carrying the Lessons Forward

As Albert continues his professional journey, the values developed at SIMA remain a constant part of who he is.

From discipline and time management to character and responsibility, the lessons he learned continue to guide him at every stage.

Albert Dikwa's story is a reminder that true success starts with character, and that the best athletes are often the ones who first learn how to be great people.
