Ben Wisniewski

Ben Wisniewski graduated with his Masters of Education with an emphasis in athletic leadership from the University of Washington in June 2018. During his time at UW, he served as a graduate assistant coach under Mike Hopkins. Wisniewski helped turn around a 9-win team in 2016-17 to 21 wins in the 2017-18 season. His primary responsibilities were player development where he worked with the guards and opponent scouting.

Before his stint at UW, Wisniewski was the head coach at Kingston High School for four seasons. He came to Kingston following a season overseas playing for Coach Jason Rabedeaux and the Saigon Heat in Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam. Under Wisniewski’s watch, the Buccaneers improved from a 7-13 first year record to a 17-8 record in his fourth season. During the Bucs 16-17 playoff run, they knocked off three of the top four teams in the South Puget Sound League advancing to regionals. Wisniewski led the Buccaneers in back to back post-season appearances.

Prior to his stint in Vietnam, Wisniewski played semi-professional basketball for the Gary, Indiana Splash where he started at PG averaging 15ppg 6apg. He graduated from Edgewood College in 2012 as the 2nd all-time leading scorer in school history and all-time leading scorer in Northern Athletics Conference history. Wisniewski led the Eagles to a school record 23 wins and the first NCAA playoff victory in school and conference history.

Passionate about sports, Wisniewski has assisted the MVA varsity team for the past two seasons coaching multiple ESPN top 100 players and looks to propel athletes to reach their maximum potential
