Montverde Academy Athletics

Alarico Pereira brings to Montverde Academy more than 15 years of volleyball experience, including an extensive background in both indoor and beach arenas. He has played Open/Pro beach volleyball for over 8 years, having achieved numerous first, second and third-place finishes in Florida-based and national-level tournaments. Before joining Montverde Academy, Alarico was a volleyball coach at Cypress Creek High School, where he served as a coach and assistant coach of both the boys and girls Junior Varsity and Varsity teams for five years.

In 2017, Alarico joined Montverde Academy as an assistant coach. Since then, he’s enjoyed a myriad of roles School’s volleyball program. From January to May 2018, he was given the role of head coach for the indoor 11U, 12U, and 14U club teams. Later in 2018, Alarico assumed the role of head coach for the indoor JV team and assistant coach for Varsity indoor team. Beginning in 2019, Alarico was named head coach of Montverde High School Beach Volleyball and head coach for the indoor girls 10U club team.

Alarico continues to enjoy bringing his knowledge, skills, and passion to students of all ages and levels. He hopes that his students not only share his enthusiasm for the sport but also carry the confidence and values they learn from volleyball to all areas of their lives.
