Caitlin Griffis is a 2011 graduate of the University of Central Florida where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness. Griffis also earned a master’s degree in Coaching and Expercise Science in 2021 at Concordia University Irvine.

Griffis is also heavily involved in the softball community. She is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and coaches a 14U for TN Mojo 08 Florida. In addition to coaching, Griffis has also spent many years playing softball. She played organized for 15 years, playing mostly first base and third base. She also received a scholarship to play college softball at Lake-Sumter Community College.

In addition to softball, Griffis has also has extended experience in basketball and volleyball. Her experience includes 12 years of basketball at the center position and five years of volleyball as an outside hitter.

Griffis includes her dad as one of her greatest mentors. She also credits former MVA coach Kelly Golden-Neer as a mentor. Golden-Neer coached Griffis in College. Griffis also includes Amanda Haverman as a mentor to her.
