Christian Iozza

Christian Iozza joined the Montverde Academy boys basketball program as an assistant coach in 2025.

A native of Medford, Massachusetts, Iozza brings a passion for coaching and youth development, with a particular focus on mentoring student-athletes through both their athletic journeys and personal challenges.

He is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Services. On the court, Iozza was a combo guard, playing high school basketball at Proctor Academy before competing at the NCAA Division II level for Seton Hill University. In addition to basketball, he was a standout football player at Proctor Academy, playing wide receiver and defensive end on the school’s first undefeated Evergreen League championship team in 2012.

Iozza credits his father head coach Stephen Turner as well as Rob Howard, Diallo Nelson, and Juan J. Hill for helping shape his coaching philosophy. His personal passion for supporting young people with mental health challenges dates back to high school, when he dedicated his senior project to coaching a freshman and sophomore AAU basketball team.

Now residing in Clermont, Florida, Iozza enjoys golf and bowling in his free time. He is grateful for the opportunity to live out his passion for teaching, coaching, and guiding student-athletes at Montverde Academy.
