The Montverde Academy EdgeCenter for Sportsmanship and Wellness or "The Nest" is a 6.5 million dollar, 44,000 square foot athletic facility built in 2013. The Athletic Center consists of an innovative basketball court designed to hold an estimated audience of 1,500 people, two additional practice basketball courts, two volleyball courts, and a pioneering 4,400 square-foot fitness center is a state-of-the-art team training facility.
The fitness center was designed to optimally train all Montverde Academy athletic teams in a functional and effective manner. It has eight fully outfitted power racks, each with a TRX suspension system, 45 and 15 lb. Olympic hex bars and adjustable benches. It has an indoor turf training space, which is essential for both movement and training and conditioning, the Keiser six-pack system which can be used for both rehabilitation and power development, and a Keiser Runner which is used for both injured athletes and conditioning circuits. Completing the facility are showers, locker rooms, coach’s offices, film and conference rooms, and a concessions area.
