Montverde Academy Eagles JV watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-1 loss to Tavares HS on Monday. Tavares HS scored on a groundout by Kimer in the first inning, a double by Bry Buse in the first inning, and a walk by in the second inning.

The Eagles lost despite out-hitting Tavares HS seven to five.

Tavares HS took an early lead in the first inning.  Kimer grounded out, scoring one run.

Waters earned the win for Tavares HS. He went six innings, giving up one run, seven hits, striking out three, and walking one.  Roberto Thelusma took the loss for Montverde after throwing one inning, giving up three runs, and four hits.

Ernesto Hidrogo led Montverde with three hits in three at bats.
