"I feel like they made me a priority," Devoe said. "Them coming all the time to see me, they went through the hurricane to see me while I was in Orlando and the fit that I am with them and their style of play."

"They fit me and the relationship that I've built with them from the beginning," he added. "They were one of the few to recruit me in the beginning. We built that relation for a long time."

Devoe, a 6-foot-4 guard that is playing his senior season at Montverde (Fla.) Academy, picked the Yellow Jackets over Wake Forest and USC. Devoe visited Georgia Tech the weekend of August 26th and that helped solidify his pledge to Georgia Tech.

"When I was on that Georgia Tech visit it felt like home to me," Devoe said. "It felt like I had family around. The connections and relationships I had with everyone, it really felt like home. I loved the feel of the college and the atmosphere there. It just felt like home to me."

Devoe was impressive this summer playing for Nike South Beach. In fact, his strong play led to him moving from unranked up to No. 77 overall and No. 15 at the point guard position in Scout's 2018 player rankings

"They want me to come in right away and start," Devoe said. "Just be a great leader. They want me to come in right away and be that guy. It's a great situation for me. It's ACC basketball and they have a good coaching staff that develops their players."

Georgia Tech now hold commitments from two prospects in 2018. To go with Devoe, Pastner also holds a pledge from three-star forward Kristan Sjolund to make up their current class.
