Montverde Academy's Center for Basketball Development student-athlete Oton Jankovic announced his commitment to Vanderbilt University on Tuesday, May 28. In Vanderbilt's 2019 signing class, Jankovic will be joining elite basketball players such as four-star power forward Dylan Disu, three-star forward Kenyon Martin Jr., three-star point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. and three-star shooting guard Jordan Wright.
"I am happy to announce I will be continuing my basketball and scholastic career at Vanderbilt University this fall," said Jankovic in a tweet. "Thank you to all those involved who have helped along the way especially my parents Tamara and Natko, and my brother Nikša."
A native of Croatia, 6'9" power forward Jankovic played for the CBD National team averaging over 6 points and 8 rebounds per game. He also competed with the U-18 Croatian National team which allowed him to face other national teams such as Greece, Italy, and Spain.
During his time at MVA, Jankovic was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals and was named in the 2019 Top 25 Basketball Recruits in Florida by 247 Sports. Off the court, Jankovic excelled in the classroom with a 3.40 cumulative GPA earning Cum Laude Academic Honor Roll recognition.
