Over the weekend, the Montverde Aquatics Club had several swimmers compete at the Florida Senior Championships, a meet which gathered several club and college athletes from around the state.
Emily Santos swam best times in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, breaking her own MVA school records in both events with 30.16 and 1:04.60. She finished second place in both events.
Kierro Stubbs earned best times in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, also breaking MVA school records in both events with 26.53 and 58.21. The old records belonged to Carlos Fonseca ('18) and Luigi Reno ('16).
Lani Espinel, Juan Rojas, and Tatiana Brandt-Oliveira recorded two new personal best times and Alexa Cecchi swam season best times in four different events. The swimmers will be back in the water at the ISCA International Cup next week in St. Petersburg, and the GTSA Championship in Tampa from 9th to 11th of April.
