The Montverde Academy girls' golf team earned a win on Thursday afternoon as the Eagles defeated South Lake High School 166-242 at Bella Collina Golf Course on Thursday afternoon.

Mia Hornberger was the Eagles' top finisher and she finished in first place overall with a 35 (-1) over the nine hole course. Madeline Xie and Michelle Jing Su tied for the second lowest scores for the Eagles with a 40 (+4). Delaney Dorsey finished fourth for the Eagles with a 51 (+15).

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday for the Lake County Cup at the Harbor Hills Golf Course.
