The Montverde Academy boys' basketball team hosted a preseason game on Monday evening against South Lake High School. The Eagles won 118-28 in the exhibition contest.

Liam McNeeley led all scorers with 21 points, while Asa Newell had 18.

MVA boys' basketball will have one more preseason game on Wednesday against Huntsville High School (Alabama) at 7:30 pm in the Nest before opening the regular season next Monday November 20 against Wasatch High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
