The Montverde Academy girls' basketball team defeated Mainland High School 70-29 on Monday in the 2023-24 home opener for the Eagles.

Jaloni Cambridge scored a game-high 21 points, while Vivian Iwuchukwu added 19 in the win.

The Eagles are now 3-0 on the season and are back in action on Wednesday to take on Fort Erie International at the Nest at 7:00 pm
