Montverde Academy girls' basketball defeated Lone Peak High School 63-49 on the final day of the 2023 Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday afternoon.

With the win, the Eagles officially won three of four games at the event, and MVA's overall record is now 9-1 this season.

Vivian Iwuchukwu led the way with 24 points, while Jaloni Cambridge added 21 points for the Eagles.

MVA will now have a week off from action and return to the hardwood on Friday, December 29 for the NXT Level Hoopfest in Nashville, Tennessee on December 29 and 30. The Eagles' first opponent will be East Nashville High School next Friday at 8:00 pm Eastern Time (7:00 pm Central Time).
