The Montverde Academy girls' basketball team finished off a sweep of the Stars Under the Sun New Year Classic this weekend with a 50-39 win over Miami Country Day in day two of the event in Davie, Florida on Saturday evening.

MVA is now 13-1 this season.

The Eagles were led by Jaloni Cambridge with 22 points, followed by Eris Lester with 11.

MVA is back in action on Monday for a game at St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 pm.
