Natalia Baquerizo had 15 kills and 11 digs, while Mirea Thederahn had nine kills, nine digs and four service aces to pace the Montverde Academy girls volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-17, 25-18) win at home on Tuesday evening.

The improves Montverde Academy to 8-4 overall this season.

Kristina Vargas had 18 assists, four service aces and three digs in the win, while Gabriela Carvalho had six kills and three blocks for MVA.

Isabella Parra added 17 assists and six digs, while Vero Ruiz had 21 digs.

The Eagles are back in action on Wednesday for a match at Bishop Moore at 6:00 pm. The junior varsity teams will play first at 4:30 pm

*Earlier in the evening, the Montverde Academy girls volleyball junior varsity team defeated Trinity Prep 2-0 (25-18, 25-22) to improve to 15-2 overall this season.
