Six players notched double figures to lead Montverde Academy boys basketball over the century mark as the Eagles defeated Springville High School 101-64 in day two of the Five for the Fight Hoopfest in Mt. Pleasant, Utah on Tuesday.
Trent Sisley scored a game-high 28 points, while teammate Dhani Miller added 20, Hudson Greer 16, CJ Ingram 14, Dante Allen 11 and Kayden Allen 10 to push MVA to 3-0 on the season.
Sisley connected on 12-of-15 from the floor and had a team co-high five assists in the win. Meanwhile, Miller, whose 20 came off the bench, connected on 6-of-7 from three-point territory. Montverde Academy as a team shot 14-for-23 from behind the three-point arc.
As was the case on Monday's win, the Eagles once again dominated numerous facets of the game. Protecting the ball well, they committed just five turnovers, compared to Springville's 17, leading to the Eagles to holding a 31-4 advantage on points off turnovers.
MVA held a 34-25 advantage in rebounding, including an 18-10 advantage on offensive rebounds as the Eagles held a 23-13 advantage on second chance points.
MVA returns to action on Friday, December 6 for day one of the 2024 Nike EYBL Sunshine Classic against Orangeville Academy at 8:00 pm.
