The Montverde Academy softball team defeated The First Academy 3-1 on Tuesday evening at the Montverde Academy Softball Complex.

Luna Taboas was 2-for-3 with a run, while Jenna Meder was 1-for-3 with a run. Lexi Perez was 1-for-3 with a double and run batted in, while Elena Friedman was 1-for-3 with a home run in the win.

Eighth grade pitcher LaBreah Sands made her first start of the season and had a phenomenal game, pitching 7.0 innings and allowing one (unearned) run on two hits, while striking out 15 batters.

MVA is back in action on Thursday for the first day of the 2024 Montverde Academy Invitational Softball Tournament (MAIST) at the MVA Softball Complex against West Orange High School at 2:30 pm.
