Montverde, FL (January 21, 2025) – After leading the team to a pair of big wins over the weekend, girls basketball player Saniyah Hall has been named Montverde Academy's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 19, 2025.

Hall, a junior on the Eagles' girls' basketball team, delivered two outstanding performances to lead Montverde Academy to victories over nationally ranked opponents.

On Friday, she had a team-high 18 points, along with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in Montverde Academy's 80-59 win over Bradley Central. She followed that with an even more dominant showing on Saturday, posting game-highs of 26 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in a 70-48 victory over Faith Family Academy.

Hall has been instrumental in the Eagles' success. She is averaging 20.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. She has scored in double figures in each Eagles' game this season and has surpassed 20 points in 12 of MVA's 17 games. Her contribution has been a major factor in Montverde Academy's impressive 16-1 overall record and No. 1 ranking in the nation.

Hall and the rest of the Eagles' season continues this weekend at The Mecca Games in The Bronx, NY. The Eagles will face Legion Prep at 9:00 pm on Friday, followed by a matchup against Royal Crown at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
