Montverde, FL (January 28, 2025) -- Montverde Academy girls basketball standout Aaliyah Crump has been named the Montverde Academy Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 26, following a dominant stretch that helped the Eagles to a perfect 3-0 week.
Crump's pivotal role in Montverde Academy's success last week started with an 11-point, four-assist, three-rebound effort in a 65-45 victory over Cannon School on January 20. She continued her strong play at The Mecca Challenge in The Bronx, New York, where she posted 17 points and seven rebounds in a 61-46 win over Legion Prep on Friday, January 24. She capped off the week with another impressive showing in The Bronx, scoring 15 points while adding five rebounds and five steals in the 68-48 victory over Royal Crown on Saturday, January 25.
For the season, Crump has been a key contributor to Montverde Academy's impressive 18-1 record, averaging 9.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. A nationally recognized talent, Crump recently earned one of the highest honors in high school basketball, being named a 2025 McDonald's All-American. She is also committed to continuing her basketball career at the University of Texas.
Hall and the rest of the Montverde Academy girls basketball team returns to action on Thursday, January 30, at 6:00 pm for a highly anticipated rematch against Fort Erie International, the only team to beat the 18-1 Eagles this season.
