The Montverde Academy boys golf team will compete in the FHSAA District Championship on Monday afternoon at Continental Country Club in Wildwood, with tee time scheduled for 12:15 pm.
The Eagles enter the postseason following a strong 10-2 regular season and a fourth-place finish at the Central Florida Prep Invitational earlier this fall. Ranked among the top programs in the state, Montverde Academy will look to capture its first district championship since 2012.
This year's team has also made history, breaking multiple school records during the regular season. Michael Frasure set a new school record for nine holes, shooting a 30 (-6) at Bella Collina in a win over The First Academy on August 20. Meanwhile, Hung Khanh Le broke the 18-hole record with an impressive 63 (-7) on his way to winning the individual title at the Central Florida Prep Invitational on September 3.
The Eagles will look to carry that momentum into Monday's district championship.
