The Montverde Academy boys and girls swim teams continued their dominance in the pool on Tuesday morning, sweeping the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Regional Championships at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce.

The victory marked the sixth regional title in the last seven years for the girls team and the fourth consecutive championship for the boys, solidifying MVA's position as one of the premier swimming programs in the state.

Both teams delivered standout performances throughout the meet, highlighted by a number of impressive individual and relay victories.

Girls Relay Winners:

• 200 Medley Relay: Stella Belmore, Mariana Bustamante, Layla Busby, Kayra Tati

• 200 Freestyle Relay: Maria Fernandez, Maria Castro, Alejandra Ordonez, Kayra Tati

• 400 Freestyle Relay: Alejandra Ordóñez, Stella Belmore, Maria Castro, Maria Fernandez

Boys Relay Winners:

• 200 Freestyle Relay: Heitor Tinoco, Jayden Chan, Lucas Paez, Zac Holmes

Girls Individual Champions:

• Alejandra Ordonez – 200 Freestyle

• Maria Castro – 200 Individual Medley, 500 Freestyle

• Stella Belmore – 100 Backstroke

Boys Individual Champions:

• Jayden Chan – 50 Freestyle

• Cobi Wu – 100 Breaststroke

The Eagles will now turn their attention to the FHSAA State Championships, which will take place on Saturday, November 8, at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) Center in Ocala.
