Montverde Academy's swim program made a major statement on Saturday at the Florida Swim Pool Association (FSPA) Invitational, held at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) Center in Ocala, with both the boys and girls teams finishing second overall in one of the state's most competitive high school meets.
The Eagles combined for 12 total event victories—including seven wins on the girls' side and five from the boys.

The boys' 200-yard freestyle relay not only secured a first-place finish but also earned National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American honors with their exceptional time of 1:23.94.

The swi teams return to the pool on Thursday, October 9 for a tri-meet against South Lake High School and Mount Dora High School at the National Training Center in Clermont at 4:00 pm.
