The Montverde Academy girls volleyball team earned a 3-0 road victory over Trinity Prep in Winter Park on Tuesday evening. The Eagles took the match in straight sets, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 25-19.

Natalia Baquerizo led the way with nine kills, six digs, and three aces, while her sister Bianca Baquerizo and teammate Sofia Amador added five kills each. Gabi Carvalho contributed five kills and four blocks, and Mya Tyson tallied four kills and three blocks.

Amelie Jenkins provided four kills, two blocks, and two aces, and Rosabella Palanti chipped in with three aces and five digs to round out a balanced team effort.

With the win, Montverde Academy improves to 14-5 overall.

The Eagles will close out the regular season on Thursday when they travel to South Lake High School. The JV match begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity match at 7:00 p.m.

*Earlier in the evening, the junior varsity team earned a 2-0 win to improve to 11-9 on the season.
