The Montverde Academy girls basketball team closed out its 2024-25 regular season schedule with a 55-41 win over DME Academy at The Nest on Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Eagles improve to 25-1 and will await what seed they will be for the 2025 Chipotle High School National tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana the first weekend of April. The tournament bracket will be released in early - mid March.
In Tuesday's win, MVA was led by Saniyah Hall with 21 points, while Missy Odom added 10 off the bench. Aaliyah Crump and Amaia Jackson each scored eight in the win.
The Eagles led the game from start to finish. MVA was up 14-9 by the end of the first quarter, before taking a 33-20 lead into halftime. The Eagles expanded their lead in the third quarter and led 55-41 en route to victory.Â
The 26-1 record by MVA marks the second time in the past three seasons that the Eagles lost just one game during the regular season.
