Game 1: Montverde Academy defeated Cornerstone Charter Academy 10-0
Montverde Academy put on a dominant performance Thursday afternoon, shutting out Cornerstone Charter Academy 10-0 behind a stellar offensive display and a perfect game from starting pitcher Nevaeh Williams to open up play in the 2025 MAIST tournament.
Williams was untouchable in the circle, striking out 10 batters while not allowing a single baserunner. Her flawless outing set the tone for Montverde's explosive offense.
Luna Taboas led the charge at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two runs batted in. Danika Spinogatti delivered the biggest blow of the game, launching a three-run home run while driving in five runs on a 2-for-3 performance. Ashley Berkemeier also had a strong showing, going 3-for-3 and crossing the plate three times. LaBreah Sands added more power to the lineup, finishing 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored.
Cornerstone Charter Academy centerfielder Kenzie Boisvert made the defensive play of the game when she robbed Addison Poe of a home run to center field in the bottom half of the third inning.
Game 2: Winter Springs defeated Oviedo 10-1
Winter Springs scored four runs in the top of the first inning and led from start to finish in a 10-1 win over Ovideo High School in the second game of day one of the MAIST tournament.
Tiffany Seemann went 2-for-3 with a run batted in, while Madison Barahona had a pair of runs batted in.
Addi Prewitt was 1-for-2 with a run batted in to lead Oviedo.
Seeman earned the win in the circle after pitching 4.0 innings of shutout softball, while striking out four. Christina Brisson earned the save pitching three inning of relief allowing a run on three hits.
Maile Dunn suffered the loss for Oviedo going 7.0 innings and allowing 10 runs (seven earned) on six hits with five strikeouts.

Game 3: Cornerstone Charter Academy defeated Oviedo 7-6
Kenzie Boisvert ripped a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh scoring Olivia Nogueros to walk it off for the Ducks as Cornerstone Charter Academy defeated Oviedo 7-6 in a consolation bracket game to wrap up Thursday's action.
The game winning hit highlighted a night that saw Boisvert go 2-for-4 with two runs batted in.
Overall, the Ducks had 16 hits in the contest. including three each by Jaelyn Phillips, Emma Pynes and Bailey Copeland. Phillips was 3-for-4 with a run and run batted in, while Pynes was 3-for-4 wiih a home run, two runs and a run batted in. Copeland went 3-for-4 and scored once.
Oviedo got two hits each by Avery Madden, Addison Prewitt and Maile Dunn. Madden was 2-for-5 with a run and a run batted in, while Prewitt was 2-for-4 with a run and a run batted in. Dunn went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in.
Kaitlyn Tracy earned the win for the Ducks after pitching 1.0 inning of relief in the top of the seventh. Emma Cemoni suffered the loss after pitching the final 1.2 innings in relief, allowing two runs on four hits.
