The Montverde Academy baseball team defeated Lake Minneola High School 4-2 on Friday in Sanford to win the 2025 Florida High School Invitational.
The win improves the Eagles to 9-4 overall this season.
Danati Fronduto led the way for MVA going 2-for-3 with a run, while Carlos Feliciano went 1-for-2 with a run. Rainer Garcia added a hit and a run batted in.
Frontudo picked up the win in relief after pitching the final 3.0 innings, allowing no runs and striking out five. Gabriel Carrero started the game and pitched 3.0Â innings, allowing two runs on six hits.
MVA will face Lake Minneola once again in its next game on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
