Montverde Academy left no doubt on Monday night, shutting out Windermere Prep with a commanding 11-0 victory. The Eagles were locked in from the first pitch, setting a new season-best margin of victory.
Max Irving was a difference-maker, going 2-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base. Jovan Familia also put on a show, racking up a 3-for-4 night while crossing home plate twice and swiping a base of his own.
Montverde Academy was unstoppable at the plate, finishing with a scorching .520 batting average—their highest since April 2024. Their offensive explosion was a night-and-day difference from some earlier games, including a rough .087 performance against Foundation Academy.
With the win, the Eagles have now strung together back-to-back victories, improving to 4-3 on the season. They've been red-hot offensively, averaging 14.0 runs per game over this stretch.Â
