The Montverde Academy baseball team lost 7-2 at Winter Springs on Monday evening.
The Eagles scored two runs in the top of the first to take the initial lead, but the host Bears scored one in the bottom half of the first, before adding four more in the third and another two in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead and win the game.
Max Irving was 2-for-3 with a run to lead the Eagles offensively. Arnoldo Gonzalez and Pablo Borbely added one hit each for the Eagles who fall to 14-6 overall this season.
Pitcher Tyler Severs suffered the loss after going 3.0 innings and allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits. Danati Fronduto closed out the game in relief and allow one run in 3.0 innings of work.
The Eagles are back on the field on Thursday for a game at The First Academy at 7:00 pm.
