Montverde, Fla. (April 18, 2025) – Montverde Academy has earned a spot in the 2025 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Regional Baseball Tournament and will continue its postseason journey in a best-of-three quarterfinal series against John Carroll Catholic.
The Eagles will travel to Fort Pierce for the first two games of the series, which are scheduled for Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22 at John Carroll Catholic. And if necessary Game 3 will shift to Francisco Lindor Field on Thursday, April 24. All games are set for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch.
Montverde Academy (16-9 overall) secured its regional berth after reaching the championship round of the district tournament. The Eagles defeated Foundation Academy 5-0 in the semifinals on April 15 before falling to top seeded The First Academy, 11-1, in the district championship game on April 17.
If the Eagles win their quarterfinal series, they will advance to the regional semifinal round, also a best-of-three format, taking place April 28, April 29, and May 1. MVA would face the winner of the matchup between No. 1 seed The First Academy and No. 8 seed Melbourne Central Catholic.
Should Montverde Academy advance to the regional championship series, they would face one of the remaining teams from the opposite side of the bracket—Lakeland Christian, Santa Fe Catholic, Foundation Academy, or Master's Academy. The regional final is scheduled for May 5, May 6, and May 8, and will also follow a best-of-three format.
