SIMA Alumni Weekly Recap – Week of Sept. 7–14

Each week, we take a look back at the standout performances from SIMA alumni competing across the country in college soccer. Here are the biggest highlights from this past week:


Spotlight Performance: Luiz Ingavi (Saginaw Valley State, DII)

Luiz Ingavi was unstoppable this week for Saginaw Valley State. Across three matches, the 2025 SIMA graduate tallied three goals and one assist, powering the Cardinals' attack. He opened the week with a goal against Illinois Springfield, then followed with another goal against Tiffin. Ingavi capped it off by scoring and assisting against Northwood, helping the Cardinals secure their first win of the season. Ingavi's strong start to the season is making him one of the hottest attacking alumni in the country right now.


 Other Alumni Highlights

  • Mohammed Ibrahim (VCU, DI – 2024) – Scored a goal in VCU's clash with Clemson.

  • Wahabu Musah (Clemson, DI – 2024) – Found the back of the net for the Tigers against VCU and SMU, bringing his 2025 goal total to four.

  • Osei Gyamfi, (UNCW, DI 2024) – Tallied goal and two assists against William & Mary. Named Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Offesnive Player of the Week.

  • Gianluca Franco, Radford University, DI – 2024) – Secured first point of the season with assist against ETSU.

  • Matthew Capuano, Eastern University, DIII – 2022) – Scored first goal of season against Moravian.
