Montverde Academy girls volleyball earned a straight-sets victory over Windermere Prep on Thursday evening in Windermere, winning 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-13).

Mirea Thederahn powered the attack with 14 kills and three digs, while Gabi Carvalho added 11 kills and two blocks. Natalia Baquerizo turned in a strong all-around performance with eight kills, three digs, and two blocks, and Bianca Baquerizo also chipped in eight kills to help secure the win.

With the victory, Montverde Academy improves to 10-4 on the season. The Eagles return to action on Tuesday when they travel to face New Smyrna Beach. The Junior Varsity match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., followed by Varsity at 7:00 p.m.

*Earlier in the evening, the junior varsity team lost 0-2 (18-25, 23-25) to Windermere Prep. The JV team is now 9-6 on the season.
