Montverde, Fla. (January 22, 2026) – Some of the best high school basketball talent the United States has to offer will once again take center stage in Montverde, Florida, as Montverde Academy prepares to host the 23rd annual Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) presented by Discover Lake County, from Thursday, January 29 through Saturday, January 31 on the Montverde Academy campus.
The three-day event will feature eight competitive high school basketball programs from across the country, competing in a showcase that has become a staple on the national high school basketball calendar. MAIT continues its tradition of providing fans with elite competition, high-level talent, and an electric environment.

Opening Night Highlights
The tournament tips off Thursday afternoon and culminates with Montverde Academy hosting Northside Christian in prime time on opening night. Thursday will also serve as Senior Night for the Montverde Academy boys basketball program, as the Eagles salute their four graduating seniors, including Joe Philon III, Jayden Hodge, Nikos Koulisianis and Dhani Miller.

Girls Basketball Showcase
In addition to an exciting boys tournament, fans will also be treated to high-level girls' basketball, as Montverde Academy's No. 2 nationally ranked girls team takes on a formidable foe in Holy Trinity Episcopal at 6:00 PM on Friday in conjunction with MAIT.
Special Events & Fan Experience
The 23rd MAIT will once again offer more than just basketball. Fans attending the tournament can enjoy a variety of special events and entertainment throughout the weekend, including:
- Face painting for children
- Contests for prizes
- Halftime shows and special performances
- National anthem performances
Ticket Information
Tickets are available for $25 per day, with admission granting access to all games scheduled on that day. Parking is free for all spectators.
