The Montverde Academy girls basketball team suffered a 57–45 road loss at Miami Country Day on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the setback, Jayla Forbes turned in a strong performance for the Eagles, recording a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 

The Eagles move to 13–3 on the season and will look to bounce back when they return home on Friday, January 30. Montverde Academy will host Holy Trinity Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. as part of the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT).
