Montverde Academy girls basketball suffered a 79-69 road loss at Southeastern Prep on Tuesday evening.
Despite the setback, the Eagles were led by an outstanding individual performance from Missy Odom, who poured in 29 points on an efficient 10-for-14 shooting from the field while also pulling down six rebounds. Kendall Perry provided a strong scoring punch as well, finishing with 16 points on 5-for-6 shooting and a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc. Jamila Ray also reached double figures, contributing 10 points.
The loss marks the fourth of the season for Montverde Academy, which now stands at 16-4 overall.
Montverde Academy will look to bounce back quickly, returning to action on Thursday, February 19, when the Eagles travel to face DME Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
