The Eagles took care of business on the road Thursday night.
Montverde Academy girls basketball earned a 56-42 victory over DME Academy in Daytona Beach, showcasing balance, toughness, and composure as the regular season winds down.
Missy Odom led the way with a game-high 21 points while adding eight rebounds, setting the tone offensively from start to finish. Jordan Speller followed closely behind with 19 points and five rebounds, giving the Eagles a powerful one-two punch on the scoring end.
On the glass, Jayla Forbes controlled the boards with a team-high nine rebounds.
With the win, the Eagles improve to 17-4 on the season and continue building momentum heading into the final stretch.
Montverde Academy will close out the regular season on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. on the road against The Academy of Central Florida.
