The Montverde Academy boys and girls track and field teams turned in a strong performance on Wednesday at The First Academy Royal Invitational in Orlando. The Eagles girls team captured the team championship, finishing first out of seven teams, while the boys placed fourth in a field of six teams.

Montverde Academy athletes delivered several standout performances, highlighted by multiple event victories and strong finishes across the meet.

Event Winners

Montverde Academy recorded numerous first-place finishes on both the track and in the field.

Girls Event Winners

• Angelica Wolfe won the 1000 meters in 2:59.27, with Alafair Scelfo finishing second in 3:06.65.

• Arima Turner captured the 60 meters title in 7.79, followed by DaQuana Howell in second at 7.89.

• Dasia Reed won the 300 meters in 38.56, with Adriana Rodriguez second (38.81) and Nakira Hudson third (39.23). Nikita Verma finished 14th (48.48).

• Alafair Scelfo took first in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:04.35, while Amaris Munya placed second in 5:07.00.

• Dasia Reed also won the 150 meters in 17.75, with DaQuana Howell second in 18.56.

• In the pole vault, Montverde Academy swept the top three spots as Julia Saelg won with a clearance of 3.66 meters, Kylee Brown placed second (3.51m), and Mia Rabon finished third (3.06m).

Boys Event Winners

• Miles Outerbridge won the 60 meters in 7.01.

• Miles Outerbridge also captured the 150 meters in 16.36. Parker Soplinski finished 16th (18.50) and Ghevin Olmstead placed 17th (18.77).

• Will Moss won the 3000 meters in 8:46.82.

• Samuel Johnson won the long jump with a mark of 7.06 meters.

• Grant Williams captured the pole vault title with a clearance of 4.11 meters. Max Georgiev finished second (3.91m) and Raj Andrade placed fourth (3.36m).

Girls Performances

• In the 600 meters, Dhamariah Williams placed second (1:44.45), Samantha Schulze finished fourth (1:49.86), Alon Scelfo sixth (1:51.60), and Federica Perez seventh (1:52.99).

• In the shot put, Gabriella Rabon finished 16th with a throw of 5.72 meters, while Isabella Kissler placed 18th at 5.19 meters.

Boys Performances

• In the 300 meters, Samuel Johnson placed second in 36.40. Ghevin Olmstead finished 14th (39.70), Parker Soplinski 15th (39.95), and Vuk Putnik 18th (41.17).

• In the 1500 meters, Nicolas Bueno Ardigo placed third in 4:40.36.

• In the 600 meters, Kamron Brown finished second (1:26.21), Salvatore Scelfo placed fourth (1:28.95), and Jose Didier seventh (1:32.51).

• In the shot put, Zydon Furbert finished 11th with a throw of 8.69 meters.

Montverde Academy's strong showing, highlighted by numerous event victories and podium finishes, helped propel the girls team to the meet title and demonstrated the depth of the Eagles program early in the season.
