The Montverde Academy Department of Athletics has announced the release of its schedule of the defending FHSAA state champion girls soccer team for the 2026-27 season, featuring a challenging slate of opponents from across Florida and the nation.

MVA will open the new season at home on November 3 against Lake Mary High School in a matchup featuring a pair of defending FHSAA state champions.

The early portion of the schedule will provide several significant tests. The Eagles will face Ponte Vedra twice, hosting the Sharks on November 6 before traveling to Ponte Vedra for a December 3 rematch. MVA will also host, on November 7, South Florida power St. Thomas Aquinas who handed the Eagles their only loss last season.

Another marquee home matchup comes November 11 when MVA welcomes fellow Orlando area juggernaut Bishop Moore.

December will feature a pair of showcase events. Montverde Academy will host its annual Girls Soccer Showcase on December 11-12, with two highly regarded opponents to be announced. The Eagles will then travel across the country for three matches at the Varsity National Showcase in San Diego, California, from December 21-23.

The regular season will prepare MVA for its FHSAA postseason title defense beginning with the district tournament in late January, followed by the regional and state championships in February. The Eagles were especially dominant during last year's postseason run, outscoring their opponents 32-0 in FHSAA tournament play.

Montverde Academy also announced its junior varsity schedule, which features 11 matches. The JV Eagles will look to build on an 8-1-2 record from last season.
