SIMA alumni continued their strong presence across the collegiate soccer landscape during the week of September 14–20, with several alumni making key contributions for their respective programs.
The week featured standout performances across both NCAA Division I and Division II, including multiple goals and an assist from SIMA alumni.
Simkins Scores Against Old Dominion
The week began on September 14, when Parker Simkins and VCU faced No. 13 Old Dominion.
Simkins found the back of the net in the 2–1 VCU loss, recording one goal, two shots and two shots on goal in 63.3 minutes of action.
Franco Finds the Back of the Net for Purdue Northwest
On September 17, Gianluca Franco helped Purdue Northwest earn a 2–1 victory over St. Cloud State.
Franco scored one of Purdue Northwest's two goals, finishing the match with one goal, three shots and three shots on goal in 65.4 minutes.
Ibrahim Scores for VCU
VCU returned to action on September 19 against St. Bonaventure, with Mohammed Ibrahim finding the back of the net.
Ibrahim scored VCU's lone goal in the 2–1 loss. He played 52.6 minutes and recorded two shots, including one on target.
Baafi Powers High Point Victory
Also on September 19, Alfred Baafi delivered one of the week's most productive performances for High Point in a 2–1 victory over Gardner-Webb.
Baafi recorded a goal and an assist, contributing directly to both of High Point's goals. He also recorded one shot, which was on target, in 71.3 minutes.
SIMA alum Desmond Mensah also appeared for High Point, playing 36.8 minutes in the victory.
As the college season continues, SIMA alumni are continuing to contribute at programs across the country, with the week of September 14–20 featuring goals, assists and important performances at both the Division I and Division II levels.
