Jean-Carlos Arroyo

Jean-Carlos was born in Puerto Rico and raised in a town named Carolina a few miles from the capitol of San Juan (Puerto Rico is a fast paced place of hard working citizens). Jean-Carlos lives with his wife Daphne Cintron and daughter Estela. He has been coaching for the past 17 years and in 2009 the city of San Juan started its 1st Sports Specialized School. Creating a Track and Field program, that became a powerhouse over the Caribbean with 5 World Junior and Youth finalist. Coach Arroyo is a level 3 USATF coach and a Level 5 World Athletics coach, which are both the highest ranking certifications. In 2008, Coach Arroyo guided Zolymar Febles to a NCAA Division 2 Championship in the 100m hurdles for the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras and in the same year, Febles competed at the prestigious Penn Relays where she won the Female Long Jump with a performance of 6.21m. On top of coaching high school he has also coached , Colombian National record holder Bernardo Baloyes to 2nd Olympiad , Marizol Landazuri of Ecuador to her 2nd Olympiad in the 4x100m and former LSU All American, multiple Olympic Medalist Richard Thompson to his 4th Olympiad.

Jean - Carlos sates, "I’m blessed to call my job what I do for fun, but I also enjoy all other sports and family time is always something I looked forward too."
