Montverde Academy Athletics

Patricia (Paty) Figueiredo is joining the athletics department as the Director of Volleyball Operations. Figueiredo will also take over as Varsity Volleyball Head Coach effective immediately. The Rio de Janeiro native brings with her several years of coaching experience at the collegiate and club levels, as well as an illustrious and decorated playing career.

As a player, Figueiredo reached extraordinary heights, earning five gold medals and several top finishes while playing for Brazilian club and national teams across various international competitions in both indoor and beach volleyball.

Figueiredo has spent the last two years on staff with Montana State University-Northern, where she's been a volleyball coach and financial aid specialist. Previously, she spent a two-year stint in El Paso, Texas, while earning her Master of Leadership Studies and coaching college volleyball.

Figueiredo received her bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in business from Florida State University in 2012, where she played NCAA Division I volleyball. Before Florida State, she spent two years playing for Missouri State University-West Plains. She earned the honor of a spot in the Grizzly's Hall of Fame for her time in the program. She was a part of squad that took the Grizzly's to the NJCAA Division I Women's National Volleyball Championship Tournament in both 2008 and 2009, leading them to a second-place finish in 2009.
