Montverde Academy (MVA) student-athlete Balsa Koprivica committed to Florida State University (FSU) on Friday, October 26 putting FSU's 2019 recruiting class at number 15 in the nation, per 247 Sports.
Currently, Koprivica is ranked as the No. 56 player in the nation and the No. 15 center in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. As a junior, Balsa helped lead the Eagles to their fourth national championship averaging 10 points and eight rebounds per game throughout the 2017-2018 Geico National Tournament.
According to MVA Head Basketball Coach Kevin Boyle, Koprivica has a unique skill set and variety of post moves. He not only can dominate the paint area but also come off a screen and hit 3-pointers.
"He is as skilled as any player in high school basketball over six feet, 10 inches," said Kevin Boyle. "(FSU head basketball coach) Leonard Hamilton does a really good job in being a father figure to his athletes and will be a great coach and mentor for him [Koprivica].

Koprivica is now heading to his final season as an Eagle and will look to play his first full season with MVA in hopes of winning another national championship.
