Mjracle Sheppard, Sahnya Jah and Lety Vasconcelos had double-doubles to lead the Montverde Academy to victory as the Eagles defeated The Webb School 64-41 in day three of the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference Sunshine Classic at Montverde Academy on Saturday evening to improve to 9-0 overall this season.

Sheppard had game-highs of 18 points, 14 rebounds and five steals, while Jah had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Lety Vasconcelos added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles in victory.

MVA scored the first six points of the contest en route to leading from start to finish. MVA led 20-6 by the end of the first quarter and the Eagles had a 35-18 at halftime.

MVA held a 34-10 advantage on points in the paint, 16-5 on points off turnovers and 10-0 on fastbreak points. The Eagles also held a 45-35 advantage in rebounding.

MVA will look to go 10-0 in their next game, when they host Sarasota High School, 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the Nest.
