The country's top high school basketball league, the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (NIBC), has officially teamed up with Nike to form the ultimate boys high school basketball super conference, the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic (EYBL Scholastic), which is set to commence this fall for the 2023-24 season.

For the last three years, the NIBC has been the standard for top tier high school basketball with a preeminent collection of established high school academic institutions committed to elite, national basketball competition. The launch of EYBL Scholastic furthers Nike's deep footprint in the high school space with its long-standing EYBL summer basketball series.

The newly formed EYBL Scholastic will retain the talented roster of hoops powerhouses from the former NIBC, including 2022-23 Conference Champion Montverde Academy (Fla.) as well as Brewster Academy (N.H.). In addition, the league welcomes four new teams into the fold: Canyon International Academy (Ariz.), Link Academy (Mo.), Orangeville Prep (Can.) and Veritas Prep (Calif.).

All EYBL Scholastic team rosters consist of four year high school basketball players. Students who are post-grads or fifth year seniors are ineligible to play.

The 2023-24 season will feature 84 games, approximately 30 of which will be televised live across ESPN platforms and 15 national events.

The EYBL Scholastic features 35 players ranked in the ESPN national recruiting rankings for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes and 57 high major Division I commits. Eleven alums from the 14 EYBL Scholastic schools were selected in June's NBA Draft.

Six EYBL Scholastic teams finished ranked in the Top 10 of the ESPN SCNext Top 25 high school basketball rankings last season including No. 1 ranked Link Academy.

Canyon International Academy (formerly Dream City Christian Varsity) enters EYBL Scholastic after winning back-to-back Canyon Athletic Association titles. Last year's GEICO Nationals champion, Link Academy, has reached the title game in both of their years in existence and boast a talented roster this coming season that should keep them in the hunt for the top of the national rankings.

Canadian power Orangeville Prep has a rich history of producing top level talent. In their first three years, the Bears produced 30 Division I players, six of which made the NBA, including reigning NBA champion, Jamal Murray.

Veritas Academy has been a consistently competitive program at the national level, filling most of its roster with players from Panama, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
