Logan Chapman went 3-for-3 with five RBI's and Oscar Hernandez pitched five scoreless innings to lead Montverde Academy's baseball team to a 10-0 victory over West Orange High School Friday night at Lindor Field.
"I felt we had a great game as a team and I feel we are ready to face Foundation Academy next week," said MVA's third baseman Logan Chapman after the game.Â
Chapman had two doubles and a single in the win. Over his four plate appearances he also walked once and drove in five runs.
On the mound, Oscar Hernandez had 11 strikeouts over his five innings pitched. He only allowed two hits and didn't allow a single run.
John Martinez scored four of MVA's ten runs. He was went 1-for-2 with two walks.
"I hope we stay healthy and hope we keep playing at a high level the rest of the season," said MVA head coach Victor Valencia when asked about rest of the season after the game.
MVA run ruled West Orange after five innings to bring their season record against West Orange to 2-0 after losing to the Warriors 1-0 last season.
This win brings MVA's season record to 17-1, and the Eagles are back in action for a game at Foundation Academy on April 11th at 5:00 pm.
