The Montverde Academy baseball team are your 2023 FHSAA Class 3A District 9 champions!

The Eagles defeated Trinity Prep 9-1 in the championship game on Thursday evening to win the district title.

John Martinez went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, while Victor Martinez, Manny Retana and Anthony Cole drove in two runs each.

The highlight of the night was a phenomenal pitching by Logan Bevis, who went 6.0 innings and allowed 1 run on just 1 hit and struck out 11!

It's on to regionals!
