After losing the first two sets, Montverde Academy girls volleyball rallied back at South Lake High School on Monday to pull out a five set win on the road (13-25, 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 15-6).

Down 0-2 in sets, with their backs against the wall, the Eagles caught fire in the third set and finally got their first win (25-18).

The fourth set was won by the slimmest of margins, where Montverde Academy fought hard for a 26-24 win. In the fifth set, Montverde Academy flipped the script, and dominated, winning 15-6 to secure an unthinkable comeback against all odds.

A resilient committee of Paola De Chavarria Munoz, Giavanna Parker, Evy DeClercq, Isabella Johnson, and Jadyn Langley who combined for 39 kills, 3 service aces, 9 blocks, 16 assists, and 47 digs, led the comeback for Montverde Academy. 

Munoz had 14 kills, three service aces and five blocks and 16 assists, while Parker had 10 kills and 13 digs. DeClercq added six kills and four blocks, while Johnson had nine kills and 16 digs. Langley had 18 digs in the win.
