Montverde Academy girls' soccer defeated The First Academy 6-0 in Orlando Friday night in the 2024 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 3A District 5 semifinal round in Orlando.

Six different players scored one goal each in the win.

Antonella Mazziotto scored in the first minute of play to put the Eagles ahead 1-0. Two minutes later, Lola Ressler netted a goal to put MVA up 2-0 less than three minutes in.

Joy Palacios scored a goal in the 14th minute to put MVA up 3-0. Then Emma Vodden scored a goal in the 20th minute to give the Eagles a four goal lead.

In the second half, MVA went up 5-0 when Kendall Seays put the ball in the net. Then Lola Rey scored in the 79th minute to round out the scoring.

The Eagles are now 12-4-1 overall on the season.

MVA will now play for the district championship at home on Tuesday against either Windermere Prep or Lake Highland Prep at 7:00 pm.
